About Us
Hi, I am Jessica. I am a middle school teacher, wife, a mom to my son, Calum, and the owner of The Purple Koala.
I started The Purple Koala out of our love for bamboo clothing, matching pjs, and customized items. I wanted to be able to share a wider variety of quality items especially being a boy mom!
Our name- The Purple Koala has such a special meaning! My son, Calum was born at 33 weeks.
He was super long, and skinny! (Bamboo sleepers fit him best!) He was a healthy preemie and luckily was one who just had to stay and grow a little bit!
Calum had a 20 day NICU stay. The NICU had a wonderful camera system so our family and I could watch him even if I was not there physically with him. His password was Purple Koala.
Can y'all imagine how many times I typed in Purple Koala to see my baby? My family even sent him a stuffed Purple Koala. It is such a beautiful symbol and memory for me of strength!
Our business too is small, but mighty! Every order is appreciated and is completed with full care and dedication!
